West Oxfordshire
Welcome to the West Oxfordshire Ramblers Group. We have short midweek walks and longer ones at the weekend in varied countryside: see the walking section for more details.
Anyone who joins us can be sure of lots of friendly conversation during the walks as well as at the mid-morning or lunch-time breaks.

We have the Thames Path to the south, to the west we are in Cotswold country, there are several areas covered by what is left of the medieval Wychwood Forest, and we are fortunate to have access to two large maintained estates of woodland: Cornbury Park and the grounds of Blenheim Palace.
The area is criss-crossed with sign-posted long-distance paths such as the Wychwood Way, Oxfordshire Way, Shakespeare's Way and the Palladian Way -- and sometimes you are on the route of the old Roman Road, the Akeman Street.
